I need some help. I just bought a 7100/80 motherboard to replace my 7100/66
motherboard.

Pull all your NuBus cards. Remove any RAM that you have installed (there's 8 MB on the motherboard). Disconnect all SCSI cables, internal and external and unplug the floppy drive (though I've never heard of a bad floppy preventing boot). Make sure that there is something in the PDS slot to terminate it.

I forgot an important detail. Make sure that you have a ROM card installed, and remove the L2 cache card. You won't get any chimes without a ROM, and a cache that works on the 66 may be too slow to work on the 80.

If you get it to work stripped down, you can add things back a couple at a time until it stops working again. Then you'll be well on your way to isolating the problem.
