Hi Listers I am writing this message in Outlook Express 5.02 on my aged 7100/80.
The hard disk is fairly challenged since it is only 700MB. The 7100 only does a couple of other mundane jobs so other apps are few but I recently noticed that hard disk space was diminishing to around 20-30MB. In the Outlook folder I found a file called 'messages' which was a massive 300MB plus some. Thinking this the culprit I had a clear out of all the message folders in Outlook and deleted all the ancient an irrelevant messages, many of which had attachments and deleted the lot. This took ages while the 7100 chuntered away first moving files into the Deleted Items folder and then once more by permanently deleting everything from within the folder. I must have removed 95% of the messages and I only have the most recent relevant folders and files and zilch in the Deleted Items. Yet the message folder is still 300MB! 7100/80, 88MB RAM, 700MB HD, OS8.6, OE5.02 Am I missing something? TIA Nick -- 1st-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
