Serial Port busy could be a problem with the speed the accelerator's
running. Or, the motherboard's got a flaw in it not letting it run that
fast. Whe you remove the G3, is performance from the serial ports normal?

Do you get errors trying to use a modem with the G3 installed? And, have you
tried switching ports so the printer uses the moedm port and the modem uses
the printer port while the G3 is installed?
