And you have to realize that you have a slow and pokey Mac anyway. It's like working with a Pentium 1 60Mhz machine. Now I'm weird enough that I get joy from internetting a 486 running Windows 3.1, but practically speaking the speed leaves a lot of tasks difficult to do in normal use. The performance of the 61xx series Mac picks up tremendously, in my experience, with the addition of a Sonnet or Newer G3 card. They're still available, inexpensively, and represent THE most dramatic change in the 61xx there is, besides maxxing out the RAM. (128MB). Also, with the G3 in place, I ran OS 9.1 with joy on my Performa 6116. Internetting was great, too. Standard file and word-process tasks are quick as well. And,, for very little bling bling.
