The last version of Mozilla to be posted on the "official" Mozilla.org site,
that was compiled for the classic Mac OS, was 1.2.1. The latest version is
1.5, but available only for Mac OS X. You know, I can't even find that last
classic Mac OS version at the site anymore...
However, and very fortunately, another organization called "WaMCom" has
picked up the ball and compiled a later version for classic Mac OS.
Actually, what they are doing is using version 1.3.1 of Mozilla and making
it "more stable and more correct" than the releases by Mozilla.org. They
provide downloads compiled for all the major platforms, including the
classic Mac OS (8.6-9.x). Check it out at their web site.

I found out about it through a thread on the Apple Support Discussions
Forum. I've been using it for about two weeks and I really like it.
Mozilla 1.2.1 was pretty good, but it took a really long time to launch and
it was somewhat prone to crashing. So IE remained my default browser. But
this WaMCom version of Mozilla 1.3.1 is great. It's very stable, launches
faster than the previous versions (though still not as fast as IE), and
renders web pages faster than anything I've used on my 8100/G3. IT is now
my default browser. The only downside is that it needs a lot of RAM (and a
Nubus PowerMac definitely needs a G3 upgrade to run it well).
The email module is good and quite usable, but it runs a bit slow even on my
8100/G3. I'm still using OE for my email.
[Also, the latest version of iTunes that works on Nubus PowerMacs is 1.1.
I've tried many ways to trick version 2 into working. It starts up fine,
but as soon as you try to play a song, it crashes.]
