"slave drive" question - The PowerMac G3 233 uses the IDE standard for its internal hard drives. The primary drive is "master" and the secondary drive (if there is one) is "slave." This PowerMac also has an external SCSI port, which is separate from the internal IDE drive(s). Your external drives would go there, and should be bootable.
