I'm not going to have a COMPLETE answer for you, but I wanted to place
Yellow Dog on my 6100, and did the research.

It takes a boot disk made with RaWrite and then, I recall reading that you
could buy an install CD for $4.00 that would let you do the install without
having to download the 600MB file in binhex.

My machine was accelerated, and I couldn't get it to load Yellow Dog, so I
put it on the back burner.
