just got one of those alumni directories CDs, problem is that it looks like it can only be run on a PC, ARGHH !!! confirmed it with tech support
tech support suggested getting "Virtual PC specs: MAC, 8100 w newertech G3, MACOS 8.6, 264M i got a copy of VPC 4.0, says it runs on 8.6 with G3. installs fine, but when i try to run it it asks for the serial #, which i have and is valid, but the OK box is grey'd out so it won't accept it and the only other option is QUIT, ARGHH !!! other info: - looks like the data is in a .mdb file which i looks to be a MSFT ACCESS file, don't have ACCEESS so can't try that - tried to install it on a PB 3400, said no supported any ideas ?? or any PC workaround ideas ??? thx, jim -- 1st-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
