it definitely could be a problem with the solder joints on the logic board or other 
logic
board problem (possibly not repairable, i.e. blown chip or cracked traces inside the
board).  you might try, preferably with the logic board removed, filling the nubus
connector holes with everclear, waiting a few minutes, and dumping it out and then 
letting
it dry for at least most of a day.  beyond that, 8100 mother boards are frequently
available on the swap list, or you could post a wanted ad there (best to post a wanted 
ad
to get a good price).  also of course make sure the cards are going all the way in.
