Does it also have the "dongle" to give you an RJ-45 connector for the AAUI port and thus "standard" ethernet connection? You can get a free "Stuffit Expander" application from <http://www.stuffit.com/mac/> which will open most anything, including the .hqx and .bin files. To connect via the ethernet and thus TCP/IP, you will need an ethernet connection (the dongle I mentioned) and then open the TCP/IP control panel and set it to Connect Via=Ethernet. That should get you started. The 6100 series is still useful, though a bit slow by todays standards, particularly with graphics. Still, my wife uses one daile (with a G3 accelerator installed) to publish a newsletter and to draft quilting patterns. Solid and reliable!
