I like it, but can't find anyone who agrees that they're popular when accelerated. I put O.S. 8.1 on it. Maybe you should do that with yours? This'll put in, if you choose "clean install", all the missing pieces for internetting once you find a good external modem or internal Ethercard. Jeff >> Jeff and Sir Clark, I agree with Jeff, an upgrade to OS 8.1 would help greatly and if you add a G-3 accelerator to the PDS slot, OS 8.6 or 9.1 will also perform very well. Oh, and don't forget the RAM. These 6100s will do up to 264MB. I have three 6100s all G-3 accelerated with 264 MB RAM. One for my main browsing at night (dial-up connection so don't know what it would do with broadband), one for my spouse and one that runs iTunes on my home stereo from a networked iTunes jukebox server. The iTunes server is an SE/30 running a hacked OS 8.1 (useful for OS X file sharing) and HFS+ HDD formatting) with a 9 GB external full height drive; all computers are connected with a 10/100 switch. And the SE/30 has very, very low power consumption. In my humble option the 6100s are a very fine and still today a very useful. Good luck with your 6115. --glen (digest mode) -- 1st-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
