Hi listie's: I'm trying to put an OS 8.6 or 9.0 on my 7100. It has a 300MHz Gs Crescendo in the PDS slot and a Supermac Thunder GX in nubus slot 2. At one point I had installed 9.1 on a 1gig drive to test the G3 card and the Thunder GX! It worked fine but I aquired a Seagate Barracuda ST39175LC 9Gig ultra Scsi drive 68 pin. I didn't have the scsi2 to scsi 68 pin adapter so I left it. When I boot from the 8.5.1 or 9.0 CD it says the "program cannot run on this computer...see documentation." Since the extesion for the Thunder card or G3 have not loaded it runs in Black and White. Is that the problem. I was thinking of installing 8.6 or 9.0 with the old video card in the PDS slot and then install the G3 and the SuperMac Thunder GX. Information would be greatly appreciated. BTW: I low level formated and zeroed the drive since the drive may have come from a Unix or Windows box... it still gave the same answer you cannot run.... I reinstalled the 1 gig with 9.1 on it and it works fine but when I boot off the 8.5.1 or 9.0 cd and try to start the installer it comes up with the same error though the Sonnet G3 extension loads and the Thunder GX is active at millions of colours and 1024x768...
That's it, hope someone can help....
