Well, let me explain this for you:

The ethernet connector on the back of 6100 is a AAUI-style one. To get
connected to standard ethernet networks, you'll need a transceiver that
converts the AAUI port into a RJ-45 port.

You can find these ethernet transceivers mainly at used Mac part sellers...
