Hi everyone, Can anybody recommend a service facility that repairs or refurbishes CRT monitors in the New York City area?
Anywhere within a 2-hour drive of New York City is fine... I have a dead Radius Intellicolor 20e that I purchased as a "NOS" (new old stock) item on eBay. Classic story: it worked for 2 weeks, then went dead right before my eyes. No warranty from the seller, just a "No DOA" guarantee, so replacement by the seller isn't possible. Since I spent more than I should have to get this unit, I'd like to try to fix it reasonably so that I can at least say that I got more than just 2 weeks use out of it. I believe this monitor is virtually identical to the Dell D1626, so that might make it easier to find someone who'll fix it. Bottom line: If it can be repaired for $125 or less, then it's worth it for me to keep it. I'm looking for names / phone numbers of repair shops, service facilities etc. that you know or have dealt with directly. Or, better yet, does anyone with experience in monitor repair want to take a crack at this unit? I'm open to suggestions of all kinds; thank you very much in advance as always!
