1/. Says on it Apple 820-0522-A, on one side of the card it says VRAM 128K x 8 and it has 4 simm slots all poulated. Principal chip are Bt9055 Ramdac 100 and VLSI 9423AS The Profiler reports Apple HPV v.1.0a2 Card IS:96 It was run @ [EMAIL PROTECTED]>> ----------- Short answer: HPV card also found in some 8100's with 1 MB on board + 1 MB in SIMM slots. ----------- <<2/. Has "Philips SAA 7194 H on main chip as well as VLSI 9514AV. It's distinguished with "S" in and out ports on bracket. Stamped on the back are:V9522 R ICT 3 (in black on the circut board) and in gold below that; 820-0510-A, and below that;A50 94V-0 and :85T>> ----------- Short answer: A/V card also found in 6100's, and probably 8100's. 2 MB on board. ----------- Long description: The HPV from my 7100 has p/n 820-0522-A stenciled on the board. Also stenciled on the end of the board above the eight soldered on VRAM chips is "VRAM 8x128." The VRAM chip number is TC528128BJ-80. I am guessing the last three numbers before the hyphen indicates the VRAM size. Thus the card has 1 MB RAM (128x8=1024) on the soldered on the board. You can add another MB by placing four 256k SIMM's in the empty slots for a total of 2 MB VRAM The A/V card in my 6100 has the two s-video I/O ports and the p/n on the board is 820-0510-A. It has 16 chips soldered on the opposite side of the board. The VRAM chip number is: M5M482128A-J 3482E65-8 Note again 128 at the end of the top number. This Card has 2MB on board. Thus the VRAM chips must be 128k (16x128=2048) My other HPV card has p/n 820-509-A stenciled on the board. No indication of VRAM size is stenciled on the board. The eight soldered on VRAM chips number is KM428C256J-8. Again I believe the "256" part of the number refers to 256k in VRAM chip size. This has 2 MB on board and 4 SIMM slots that will add an additional 2 MB (4 MB total) if populated with 512k SIMM's There is a good comparison of two HPV cards and the A/V PDS card at: http://www.kan.org/6100/hpv.html and http://www.kan.org/6100/av.html --glen (digest mode) -- 1st-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
