So where I may have lost this is, between the Telcos DSL modem and the Net Gear Router Telco said I needed a twisted pair cross over cable, which I put in and I can now get one computer up on the router, my pismo.
So twisted pair cross over cable is different then twisted pair wire
Net Gear says to set up one computer on port 1 and the rest should go smooth Except airport does not want to play nice on any port
Geoff
cat 5 and 5e are twisted pair, so no problem. it probably doesn't matter which port on
the router is used.

I have a 6110, I got the Ethernet connector.>--------I have a net Gear Router. From the Apple Ethernet connector to the Net Gear router do I have to use a twisted wire cable or a CAT 5e cable. for this connection to work.
