What you have there is the ORIGINAL Dr. Bott ADB-type KVM.

The video is straight through, and unless your monitor is the defult,
which is an Apple High Resolution RGB 14" monitor, you will likely have
to provide a dongle for each computer, setting each dongle to your
monitor's type.

A "dingle" is a "word of art" which refers to an external device which is
attached to a port, and through which the port's signals pass, perhaps
some of them being modified.

The specific type of dongle I was referring to is the type which converts
a generalized 15-pin D-Sub from the default monitor type to another
monitor type, usually through switching a number of sections of a DIP
switch. Sometimes a rotary switch.

This is necessary for each Mac to properly see the three "sense codes".

N.B. The bottom of you KVM should have a glued-on label stating "Dr.
Bott".

The current Dr. Bott units have some kind of intelligence, and perhaps
these don't need dongles.
