Hi Paul;

Haven't talked with ya in a long time.  Thanks for the response.

Its not giving me any 'start up' problem that I can identify 'as' a
start up problem.  I thought of that and made sure to do a cold start.
I figured that if the switch box was not set on the active monitor, it
might be unable to identify what resolution it needed...so that seemed
a logical way to end up with black screen.

>From Peter's description of the kvm being pass through, I'm guessing
that is a possible way of having the black screen if the switch is set
'wrong',  ...but I'll admit not understanding how the video works well
enough to be sure.
