Hi Nat & all; I had a 6230CD that did the exact same thing. Pulled the logic board and put it in a working 638CD. Worked perfectly. I put the 638 logic board in the 6230, no go. Swapped drives, battries, you name it. No go. I swapped everything back around and the 6230 was still dead and the 638 was fine. The 6230 board is still running in the 638 case with the 638 power supply. You have a bad power supply. The easy way to check this is with a volt meter, available at any Radio Shack. A cheap one is good for this purpose. Find your power out leads and check for +12 and +5 volts. This will tell you if your power supply is bad. HTH --Thanks; Rev.
