Hi Norman and all;
  Those error codes mean that it is most likely a software error. Do you get
a startup tone other than the normal one? If you do, that's another sign of
a software error if it accompanies a Sad Mac. An F as the last digit in the
first row of the error code is an almost certain indicator of a software
error.
  If memory serves me correctly, (someone correct me if I'm wrong) OS 9.1
can only be installed on a nubus Mac from a full install 9.1 CD and the
drive on which it is installed must be in the nubus Mac (61xx thru 81xx)
during the installation process. In other words, if you install 9.1 on a
drive in a PCI Power Mac, that drive most likely will not startup a nubus
Mac. HTH

P.S. Info on error codes is from Sad Macs, Bombs, and other Disasters.
