Thank you everyone who has tried to help me, most of the suggestions I 
tried out but now my 6100 is completely dead, it will not start up at 
all.

Norman I am sure this is correct, I recall having to acquire a 9.1 full
install CD in order to bring my Performa 6116CD up to 9.1. Here is a
