I've owned a few dozen of them and unpacked the computer and monitor from the same box. It sounds to me like a dying monitor, though I cannot say with certainty. 15" monitors actually cost more to throw away than to buy nowadays, a least here in Dallas where there is a disposal fee for dumping them and you can buy one pretty easily for $2-$3. I had several of the model you have that were "brand new" last year and sold them, still in the original carton for $25-$35, if memory serves. -- All the Best,
