AFAIK, the "AMP" (Apache, MySQL and PHP) have been ported to almost all modern OSes, so if you want to stick with MacOS, you should be able to use them. I have a server based on that trio running under a known OS whose name starts with a "W" ;-) , and it works without a problem. It also does its homework if I replace Apache with the OS's built in web server (even if some people think it's a sacrilege running PHP on top of IIS ;-) ). Ok. Back on topic. The problem is that perhaps PHP and MySQL are a bit "heavy" for a 601-class processor, but this problem applies to all ports (Linux included). They just need a bit more horsepower. But if you don't need to have the fastest web server, or all you need is to mostly serve static pages and very few or no scripts, you may be able to use them.
