No, but if you use Apple's System Disk instead of the Startup Disk control panel in OS 9, you can switch back and forth easier. I read an Apple discussion once where a user recommended this. It originally is intended for a server, by the looks of the ReadMe. You must be booted in OS 9 when you install it. While in OS 9, choose for the default start to be in OS X. When you restart, it will automatically boot into X all the time. When you want to boot into OS 9, you hold down the Option key and it will start in OS 9. I might be wrong about the Option key - it might be the Command key or Control key.
