But when all lay by the wayside I know I will have the machine that just will not die. When everything else modern melts down my trusty 61 will still survive.
There is just something comforting about going over to the 6100 Newer G3- 300 with 264 megs of RAM pushing the button, BONG, that's for Woz, the Apple face that's for Steve, 8.6 that good for me. Then just like it always does, it works, it works and it works some more, just like that for almost 10 years, everyday, 18 hours a day with 2 changes of pram batteries and a new internal HD, the giant 650 got a little > small.
Thats OK cause it still works today and runs copies of just about everything I could need and use. I just don't believe this model will ever die. When they dig up my pile of Macs in 2000 years, they will push a button and BONG 8.6 will be alive on my trusty 61
HOO WOO

P.S. If you hear of a work around to get in a G5 processor for cheap in a 6100 pass it down

Heh,
I owned a 6100/240 for forever. It was the workhorse. It ran OS 9.1
Like yours, mine kept on and on.
