The 6214 is a Road Apple.
RAM is expandable to 64MB using two 32MB 70ns 72 pin SIMMS.
It does not have built-in EtherNet. You would need to get a PDS EtherNet card or a Comm-slot EtherNet card.

Hi. I'm new to the list and looking for some help. I have inherited a
powermac 6214. I'd like to know what the highest O.S. I can upgrade to,how
much memory and most importatnly if its capable of beinga part of my
newtowrk
at home. I have all my pcs networked with a wireless network.
Thanks so very much. Lauri-------- The 6214 can do OS9.1, though it is a bit on the slow side.
It can take up to 128mb RAM (two 64mb DIMMS).
"Being part of a network" depends on what kind of a network.
It has a "built-in" ethernet port, though it is AAUI (an Apple thing) and will need an adapter to connect to a "standard" RJ-45 10baseT ethernet port. Such adapters can be readily had for $3.00 or so on the lem-swap list.
It will have to have some special software to "talk" to PCs on the same network. An application called "Dave" is one such.
If you have a router and switch, it can readily connect to the Internet, though it will be a bit on the slow side as it is a bit limited in ability to render graphics pages.
