On the 6200 series, you have to slide out the logic board to
access the "expansion" slots.

On the back panel, there are two plastic "protrusions" that
you pinch together to remove the cosmetic cover (the thing
that has the icons for the various ports).

With the cover removed, you will see two Phillips head screws
(one near each top corner of the metal plate). Remove the two
screws, release the wire handle from its clip, get a firm grip,
and wiggle the assembly rapidly side to side as you pull (it
takes a bit of force!) out the "drawer."

When you have it out, blow off the dust bunnies and you will
see a large connector with three rows of holes. That is the
LC-PDS slot where you can plug in an ethernet card. And, yes!,
it is unique to Macs (at least older ones).

There is also a shorter slotted connector (don't have one
in front of me just now) just a couple of inches long, closer
to the edge connector side of the board, that should be
labeled "Comm Slot" or something like that. This is where you
can plug in a modem or special ethernet card. Again, unique
to Macs.
