I just barely got your reply to me. I don't know how else to help you. I run all my 6100s on system 7.6.1 because I have found they run better than on system 8, but then I don't take them on the internet. Did you way what RAM you are running? They say that the 6100 will recognize 128MB chips, but I have never tried it. Good luck!
