Wow, that's allot of info people, thanks for all of the input.
I tried a new pram battery and still nada, not a thing. on the monitor
thought I am using the monitor on my new used beige G3 so that wasn't the
issued either. I do believe that my performa has finally bit the dust unless
somebody else has a new idea?
I even tried the cuda thing with no difference in the results. (reminds me
of the first time I was on this list there was an endless discussion on the
cuda thing and now I am ending this list with discussion of pram again) My
first pram battery lasted about five years, even ran it for awhile as a seti
machine so it was on all the time for almost a year. I was amazed that the
pram battery didn't go out sooner. This time I think I have had the pram
battery in it for about two years, but like I said it is not booting all the
way.
Keep the feed back coming as you are all having so much fun with this little
problem of mine.
While I still have your attention - If I am unable to rejuvenate my performa
- I need to retrieve some data on the hard drive, can I plug this unit into
my beige G3 is it compatible?
Thanks again for all your help maybe ill see you on the g-list.
