Hey ANdrei,

I'm afraid your out of luck if you want to run anything over OS 9 on
an 8500-120. 9.2.2 should work just fine, if I'm not mistaken, but
that's about as good as you're gonna get with that hardware.

On my G3-315Mhz OS 10.2 barely moves, while 9 and earlier just FLY.
10.2 seems (to me) to be about as fast on my G3 as Windows XP would be
on a Pentium-133. I think the bare minimum for any version of 10 is a
G3. It eats a lot of RAM, too, 128MB minimum I believe, according to
Apple. I heard 10.3 is faster, but I haven't tried it. I can't
imagine it would be that big a difference.

In summary, go find yourself a copy of 9 or 8.5 and then use the
updates on Apple's site to get to 9.2.2 or 8.6, respectively.
