I have not even attempted to send the LCMS patches directly upstream. I
do not believe that LCMS was ever designed to do anything other than
simply read or write profiles (and do the defined colorspace
transformations and whatnot).
I think some distros build OpenJDK to use the platform versions of some
libs that also are in the JDK sources. I guess that implies they'll
have to patch their platform libs or use the JDK one instead.
