I posted it on the forums about a week before writing to the list
(even in the Java2D subforum ;) ) but got zero repsonse.
Sorry, I didn't mean to be intrusive.

I'll try to diagnose it a bit more, maybe I can get an idea whats
going wrong there.
But at least I have confirmation that it is supposed to honor the
default printer setting :)
