For over ten years, the Chicago based M5 Non-Profit Arts Collective has
explored the intersection of Art, New Media, Performance, and Architecture
through the fostering of collaborative dialogue between artists engaged in a
wide range of innovative creative production. In this very special Sunday
Matinee event benefit for M5, we proudly present the Chicago debut of techno
phenomenon Bruno Pronsato at the West Loop's latest venue addition, LUMEN.

FIRST EVER CHICAGO APPEARANCE

BRUNO PRONSATO *live*

FROM BERLIN Orac.Hello?Repeat.Perlon.Telegraph

What began as a lubricious lark to get the ladies bumpin¹ and grindin¹ using
his BRUNO PRONSATO moniker became Steven Ford¹s primary obsession. A sound
scientist whose work is equally playful and rigorous, Pronsato¹s
compositions unsettle in original ways, yet they also slyly tickle
funnybones. Often both humorous and erotic, his cuts are the wild cards that
adventurous DJs pull out when they want to take the dance floor to strange
new levels of motion.

During the two years following his 1998 move to Seattle, Bruno conducted
live dancefloor experiments, the results from which were found in his
groundbreaking full-length on Orac, Silver Cities. Since this amazing debut,
demand for his music has waxed and Pronsato has accordingly increased his
productivity while maintaining his usual exacting quality control standards.
Releasing records for such highly regarded labels Hello?Repeat, Orac,
Telegraph, Milnor Modern (with Argentinean Franco Cinelli), and Perlon (with
Sammy Dee as HALF HAWAII), Pronsato¹s releases have become elite selectors¹
secret weapons of beguilingly baffling quirkiness that still move asses.

We proudly present Bruno's first ever Chicago appearance for this very
special Sunday showcase.

CHARLIE COOPER (of Telefon Tel Aviv)
CHICAGO Hefty.Parotic

CHARLIE COOPER's work with Josh Eustis as celebrated electronic duo, TELEFON
TEL AVIV (on Hefty Records), needs no introduction. We¹re excited to have
Charlie back for another Meiotic/ApSerp event, as his wonderfully eclectic
DJ sets tend to be raging and fun -- from upbeat electronica to techno/acid
to Southern hip-hop/bounce. The last time Charlie played one of our events,
he had folks dancing long after the club was trying to close -- finding some
of the patrons banging on the DJ booth window due to being so worked up from
his selections. Ridiculous.

J.PHLIP
CHICAGO Moonshine

With smart house music tendencies and glitched-out, techy leanings, Jessica
Phillippe, better known as J.PHLIP, has been playing constantly throughout
the Midwest, along with the occasional west coast outing for the Dirtybird
crew. Jessica continues to make her mark on Chicago with her seamless mixing
of unlikely yet tasteful tracks, and her special brand of funk-infused dj
sets have kept crowds dancing into the wee morning hours at clubs throughout
Chicago and beyond.

ANTIPHASE
CHICAGO NBFC

Having an opposite sleep-wake cycle as normal people with day jobs, Andrew
adopted ³ANTIPHASE² as his DJ name in February of 2004. With impeccable
taste, variety, and unnerving charm, Antiphase's sound revolves around the
minimal side of house and techno, Detroit techno, alien electro and old acid
tracks. A long time supporter, we're very happy to finally get Andrew on the
decks here at Sunday Pollyanna.
