Heard a snippet of a track on the radio here in Toronto. Late 60s or 70s, I think. Male speaker states "Many of the finest soul artists came from Detroit." He mentions the Four Tops, 1 or 2 others, then:
"And now listen to this: Detroit Soul!" That's when the track was mixed into something else. Announcer said it was by Tyrone Earl maybe? Couldn't catch it. Struck me that the genesis of Yennek's "Without" could be traced back here perhaps... Thanks in advance, anybody, Wes
