last night rolando and larry burden played at the new upstairs lounge of twilo.
rolando played the best set of techno i've ever heard. funky as fuck. mainly
played tracks in the low 130s, with a fair smattering of old kevin saunderson
and derrick may tracks as well as a large assortment of u.r. tracks. nice to
hear techno whose main instrument isn't a compressor. the crowd was definitely
getting into it. i didn't stay for larry burden, who came on at 2 after rolando.
