There is a label profile of Island Blue on the Dotmusic site that contains some interesting info on the new Kirk De Giorgio project.
http://www.dotmusic.com/dance/labels//January2000/labels15.asp Here is an excerpt: Kirk De Giorgio presents The Offworld Ensemble "Basically it's a live band which operates in the studio and can be taken out live. There's some really good players in it the ex-drummer of Paul McCartney's band, Jimpster on keyboards and I think Ian O'Brien's gonna do a little on it. We've got an EP coming out this year and Carl Craig's gonna do a mix and Derrick May - which will be the first thing that he's done in a long time." There is also a great item on Laurent Garnier lamenting about how the wider UK scene is stagnating and how trance sucks. Not that we don't know that but it's always nice to read some counter propaganda.
