SEAN> The Kraftwerk track Expo 2000 is dubby electronic - not quite the same
electro-proto-techno of old. In this case, the bootlegger (read: remixer)
is simply putting a techno/dancefloor face on the new track. This doesn't
mean it's any good tho!
(BTW - How are things Sean? Interested in coming back to IC sometime?
Where's that new album?!?)

ASKEW> The remixer has ties to many artists in Germany and New York, and
furthermore, it is my understanding that the boot is in a *small* run by
people respectful of artists' rights. There will be one source worldwide to
find this particular record. This is not another Sony/UR situation.
Although I do not know the remixer personally, I am familiar with his work.
And since I haven't heard the remix yet I can't vouch for it being any good.
We'll see in a couple of weeks when it come back from the plant.

SYNTAX> Speaking of Sony/UR/Jaguar, please write to Syntax Distribution and
encourage them to remove "Type - Jaguar" from their stock. I speak for (at
least!) a few listmembers who were disappointed to see Syntax first send out
a long mail detailing the copyright situation, only to find the Sony record
in question added to their stock list 3 weeks later!! Surprisingly, Watts
has not picked the cover up - in fact they are distributing Rolondo's Jaguar
this week. Cheers to that, at least.
