I was just checking out the new release list at the
Submerge site ( http://www.submerge.com ) and there's a 12" E.P. called
Minus that has a song on it called Dead Eye by Baby Ford and EON. Do you
know if this is really something new from Fordr/EON? And do you know if
they've done anything else recenly? Any info would be super.Thanks.

I believe you were a bit mixed by what you saw on
the Submerge site. There is no Eon & Baby Ford
release on Minus. What you saw was was the
tracklisting for Richie's Decks, Effects & 909 mix
cd on which there is indeed a Eon & Baby Ford
track.

That track, called Deadeye, originally came from
the first record on Baby Ford's Ifach label but was
recently re-released/remixed on the Ifach Collective
comp 12" (Ifach 18). It also appeared on the Ifach
compilation cd that came out several years ago.
In my opinion, all the early Ifach, Trelik, Rewind,
UXB, & Pure Plastic records are essential. Before
they got into their current minimal techno ruts,
Mark Broom, Peter Ford, and Ian Loveday produced
some of the best acid-electro tinged techno around.
