I think it's important to raise concerns with record stores about the
Sony remake (and does anyone know what's happened with the supposed BMG
release?). But it's important to remember that most stores won't have
heard about the issue and need education more than scolding. Perhaps
giving them Submerge's address, fax and phone number and suggesting
that they put in an order for the *real* Jaguar might be a good idea.

At both of the stores I really like in San Francisco, Tweekin and Open Mind,
there were several copies of the UR Jaguar in the bins this weekend during
my visit, and coincidentally enough, clerks in both stores put the track
on while I was there on Saturday (and not because I asked for it). I think
this is a sign that word is getting around and there's a curiosity factor
involved.

Joe Rice also did a nice write-up in the new XLR8R.
