> [snip]

I think it's time for another record, John. You've been
promoting this one for over a year now..... :) I had this
one locked in my car CD player all last summer....

Yeah that's true!! Guess what??... There are 3 releases all planned to come out in the next 2 or so months on AI or Selectronic (AI's cdr label). Though it's looking like they'll come out on AI proper.

Also one other point i'd like to make.. despite sending over 80 promos this is the first time i've seen the CD reviewed in print!! It only took a year for it to get one print review! :( Oh yeah I know about the Rob Geary mention in Grooves, but that was far from a review.

Anyhow if you liked IRC you'll absolutely love the new stuff... here's some info on the next 2 releases...

Artist: Tim Koch (Thug)
Title: Please Don't Tell Me That's Your Volvo
Label: Aural Industries
Cat. No. ai002

In essence a compilation of sonic off-cuts that didn't seem to fit anywhere else nicely. Aural Industries has taken the time to re-arrange them into a shape and form that we hope you will find most agreeable. Video game inspired songs about giving up mathematics, people with bad haircuts who don't answer their phones, bad sudafed trips, and American skateboarding shoes that fail to withstand the sheer force of Tim's ollies.

Described by Groove Magazines' Pietro Da Sacco as containing "17 tracks of video-game styled electronica tied to bright melodies, gritty ambience, and snappy bleeps all wrapped up in a tight 65 minutes. Fans of Lackluster, Plod, Arovane and even Plaid will enjoy this release. But keep in mind that these sounds would best fit a Nintendo or Playstation soundtrack".

Artist: DJ Fish Finger
Title: Gone Fishin'
Label: Aural Industries
Cat. No. cdai003

DJ Fish Finger spent the better part of the mid to late 80's pimping on the old C64 / Amiga Scene BBS' and watching the Playboy channel when it was cool too. Years of research were undertaken to enable the engineers at the DJ FF research facility to construct a studio that was able to be filled with water, fish and various other sea creatures, to allow DJ Fish Finger to record in his natural habitat.

His upcoming release titled "Gone Fishin'" is best described as electro, crazed beats, porno soundtrack music and C64/Amiga computer game sounds all amalgamated into a very phunkee aural soundtrack for the game of life... computers, sex and good music; what else do you need!? Described by a local Sydney DJ as an amazing cross between the sounds of Mr Scruff meets Cylob meets Ed DMX. So kick back, throw a dolphin meatball on the barbie, and let the sounds of DJ Fish Finger flow.
