Yea, i agree with everything Jim has to say except the part about the Korg ER-1, listen to it and fuck around with it several times before you buy. Remember, you can get decent sounds out of crap gear if your creative but with a little extra dough you can buy decent gear that will do a lot more for you, technology has come a long way.
