what i tried to say was: he can do midi sequencing in cubase, but
afterwards he will have to sample the lines to wav and put them into
cubase or acid or what ever.. basically use cubase as a midi sequencer. i
think another cool thing  about cubase is that you can rewire rebirth
directly into cubase... (the thing about acid being a toy was all about it
working with audio loops, which is not exactly my cup of tea)
