wanna see something really interesting? mp3.com now has a stats page for each artist listing the number of listens for each day and the corresponding amount of money that the artist has made. (mp3.com pays on a per-listen basis) The tracks have been online since june 8th, getting about 10-20 listens a day. Come june 14th (wednesday) the link gets posted to 313 and the number of listens jumps to 183! So one way to think about it is that when scott posted the link, he caused kms records to earn $17.82! pretty nice, eh? But... get this... the #1 act on the electronic charts is "303infinity," a crappy trance act. Their total earnings from mp3.com add up to $51,867.82. as far as i know, they don't have a single release. is this the future of music distribution? chris
