I saw groove at a film festival in minneapolis. It follows the "story" of
a rave in san francisco in that hip "fit 4 or 5 mostly unrelated stories
into one movie" style. It follows the experiences of various party-goers
as well as the promoters as they perpare for the party, try to find the
map-point, do drugs for the first time, end up playing in the main timeslot
cause the headliner hasn't shown up yet, save each other from overdoses and
acid freak-outs, leave when the party gets busted, come back in after the
police leave, and dance till dawn. While it's pretty well-made, I'd say
its main value is that it'll give you a good laugh. while everything about
it is incredibly cliched, I suppose it captures the "essence" of raves (at
least raves circa 1992-95 or so) pretty well.

So yeah, i'd reccomend it. But it is pretty silly.
