Karma has been shut down and is trying to get its liscense back. Read below.

The Chicago Tribune's Inc. column has learned that city officials have
closed down one of our town's hottest dance clubs, Karma, at 318 W. Grand
Ave., indefinitely after revoking the club's liquor license for the second
time in less than a year. The latest revocation stemmed from allegations
that Karma bouncers failed to call police after a patron got whacked with a
bottle. The action has left the club's owners scrambling to accommodate the
many private parties booked through June (one such party moved to Crobar
last week, another to House of Blues over the weekend). And the timing
couldn't have been worse. Owners just installed a new sound and laser system
valued at roughly $60,000. The only option right now for Karma's owners is
to go before the city's License Appeal Commission. For updates on events,
