So far as I can tell, it's just anal retentive record boys who get
irate along perceived genre lines. Girls, and other such open-minded and
sensible humans, give a warm reception to whatever music makes them feel
good.
Regardless of what label has been slapped on it.

give me a f'ing (i hate this not swearing thing) break....
i hate trance. there could never be another trance song made and i would
not lose any sleep over it. anything with a snare roll and delayed
arpeggiated crap makes my ears bleed. period. no exceptions. and i hate
people who love trance. so there....
for that matter, i also find i have a strong negative reaction to the
majority of the variety's of x-step jungle or drum and bass or whatever
they call it now... particularly things of the flavor of panacea
(pantera?)... death metal electronics are not my style...
but... to speak to your point... these kinds of music don't make me feel
good, ever. so i don't like them. so, i guess you are right and wrong...
