i've had pretty good experiences w/GEMM. In fact, i discovered some cool
record stores through GEMM, that i order from directly. anyway, a lot of
the stores/distributors through GEMM are 'certified' through GEMM. Which
means if the record store turns out to be sketch, you can always fill out
the little form in the 'my account' section. it automatically sends an
e-mail out etc to the store. if you are skeptical, make sure the record
store has the 'gemm guarantee'. also, it's better if they don't charge a
'gemm surcharge'.

one last comment. the only negative thing i'd say about ordering from the
netherlands or germany is the time it takes for some places to ship.
There's a great record store in Germany (i think) called Fun Records, but
it always takes a month or so to receive records, whether or not you
specify surface etc. I've had the same experience w/Clone. No doubt
though, they are both great. i guess that's why i still order from them.
