Just got back from a live paperclip gig myself, he did the same thing
-a lot of people doing that lately - half live/half dj. Started off
with 'At Les' (bit dissapointing the way there was no sign of recognition
from the crowd - at this or many other tracks) and then '4 My Peepz'. Went on
from there, obviously ripping up the place with 'throw' (wheter they
recognised it or not). He played some class solo's along the way.
Really enjoyed him dj'ing when he got going on it, (he's improved!)
talked a fair bit over the mic which added a nice personal touch - pointing
out tracks that influenced his music making and that, and he seemed to be
having as much fun as us plebs. Towards the end he played a few nice old
ravey things, which was fun. Rightly so, he always seems to give a bit of
a nod towards that end of things, rather then snootily turning his nose
up at it,like most folks in his position. One of the last tracks he
played was Donnas 'I feel love' which had everyone hopping (bouncers
included!), top night.
