label? mix and edits are by ALF & pookie.
Express records is one of my all time favourite Detroit labels, and most of
their back cat is worth looking out for('though maybe hard to find).
Cliff thomas ran this cult techno/house label from his store on 7324 West 7
Mile Road.
Some classics and forgotten releases include:
N.A.S.A(aka Sherard Ingram)-'Time To Party'(Express008)'87
N.A.S.A-'Can't Stop Now'(Juan Atkins remixes)(Express)'87
Audio Tech(aka Juan Atkins)-'I'm Your Audio Tech'(Express009)'87
Triple xxx(aka Juan Atkins)-'The Bedroom Scene'(Express011)'87
Seperate Minds-'We Need Somebody'(Express)'88
The Bad Boys(aka Kevin Saunderson)-'Don't Stop The Music(Express020)90
Yvette-'Pump Me'(Mayday mix)(Express025)'90
Nouveax Nation(of trax/house jam fame)-'My Love'(Express)'90
The Bold One(aka Art Forest)-'Out Of Your Mind'(Express)'90
Various-'Dance Detroit Dance'(Express020)'90
Happy hunting!
Peace
Justice
Btw-Does anyone know who was behind the Hardhats release on Incognito
records??I think the record came out in 1987.
