Diana

        hey.

just a small announcement. for those in the surrounding area.

tomorrow night at heidelberg in ann arbor i will be playing
a very relaxed downtempo set from 11.30pm(?)-2am. this is going to be a very chilled atmosphere, suitable for kicking back large
quantities of alcoholic (or not) refreshment and making
witty conversation about which of the canidates look dumber.

if you have been to the heidelberg before, you should realize that
it is not the most aesthetically pleasing place in the world.
personally it reminds me of a cafeteria somewhere in disney world.
so i am not sure if dancing will be top priority on everyone's
list. but audience participation will not be shunned.

what music will not be played? good question:

music that will not be played:
        - boy band or bubblegum pop
        - obnoxious high energy cutsie dance music
        - folk music (though don't rule out a jeff buckley tune or terry
                     callier)
        - songs that you can sing along to like "ants marching" by
Dave Matthews or "back that azz up" by Juvinille (though
don't rule out a DMX tune or two)

        music that will be played:

        - rare soul classics (and no i won't play "shaft")
        - funk (but probably not like parliament, more like james brown)
        - new west london material
        - alot of miles davis and herbie hancock (to be sure)
        - "dueling banjos"
        - more than likely half of My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless" LP
        - alot of out of print cheesy euro disco
        - maybe some house

hope to see each and every one of you there.

        rob
